High Physical Support Living with Room to Breathe

• 4 Turkeybush Way is a single-storey home for two participants, certified under the High Physical Support design category.
• The two participant bedrooms are in different parts of the home, and each has its own ensuite. The kitchen, dining and family area is shared, and a separate lounge gives residents somewhere else to relax.
• Step-free movement, wide doorways, generous circulation, accessible bathrooms, a High Physical Support kitchen, assistive technology provisions and ceiling hoist infrastructure are built in.

Living Areas

• The kitchen, dining and family area is a large central space for cooking, meals, visitors and time together.
• The separate lounge is a second living area, useful when residents keep different routines or want some quiet.
• Reverse-cycle air conditioning serves the bedrooms and living areas, and there is high-speed internet and Wi-Fi throughout.

Bedrooms and Ensuites

• Each bedroom has room for a queen bed, accessible circulation and its own storage.
• Both bedrooms are structurally ready for a constant-charge ceiling hoist rated to 250 kg.
• Each bedroom opens straight into its own ensuite, so personal care happens in the resident's own space.

The Kitchen

• The kitchen is part of the dining and family area, so residents can join in with cooking and meals.
• It has accessible circulation at the benches and appliances, a height-adjustable benchtop, a wheelchair-accessible pantry, accessible controls and a drawer-style dishwasher.

Overnight Support

• The OOA room is near the entry, away from the participant bedrooms, with a powder room beside it, so staff do not need to use residents' bathrooms.

Outside

• A tiled verandah opens off the family area, there are uncovered decks near the bedrooms and landscaped garden around the home, with step-free paths between inside and out.
